So, what's in a name ?

Docent: Teacher, lecturer, instructor

Deva:    Divinely feminine promoter of great health and beauty in the world.

 

A docent is a teacher, lecturer or instructor.  She can also be a musuem or gallery guide. The word Docent is rooted in the Latin word docēns, meaning to “teach”.

Today the English version can be broadly interpreted to refer to “someone who promotes learning.” A docent may be a museum guide or university professor, instructor or educator.

 

A Deva is a Goddess and so much more. The term Deva originates from different religious practices such as Buddhism, Hinduism and even more contemporary, the New Age practice.  They are mythological creatures that are personification of feminine divinity or female presence. She is “The Great Mother” whose role is to promote the preservation of great health and beauty of the world. These benevolent supernatural beings are synonymous with angels, fairies and earth spirits.  Devas are highly evolved, celestial entities of great intelligent that inhabit different levels of existence.
